William G. Downey, Downey & Scott, LLC’s Managing Principal, brings a seasoned perspective from his 32 years of construction management. As a Senior Level Construction Executive, he has extensive experience in design-build project delivery. His unique perspective reflects a four-year term as an elected member of the Board of Supervisors as well as a four-year term as an elected member of the School Board in Fauquier County, Virginia. His community service coupled with his construction experience allows him to have a greater understanding of the needs of both the private and public sectors.
Fred R. Scott, Downey & Scott LLC’s Principal, has 44 years of experience as a construction manager who has performed or overseen day-to-day bidding operations, contracting negotiations, projects management, requisition preparation, job cost analysis, and cash flow projection. He is our resident Military Project Specialist with extensive involvement on institutional, commercial, and residential projects most notably retirement communities, historic renovation, and public safety facilities.
