Experience:
Fred R. Scott, Downey & Scott LLC’s Principal, has 43 years of experience as a construction manager who has performed or overseen day-to-day bidding operations, contracting negotiations, projects management, requisition preparation, job cost analyses, and cash flow projection. He is our resident Naval Project Specialist with extensive involvement on institutional, commercial, and residential projects most notably retirement communities, historic renovation, and public safety facilities. He was instrumental in the integration of the Downey & Scott, LLC Data Platform with the Navy's Success software.
For eleven years, he was a principal and owner of Erin Construction Inc. A local commercial general contracting firm with a $10 million annual volume. Prior to the formation of his own firm, Mr. Scott maintained similar duties at Franklin Construction and Construction Management Systems Inc, two other local general construction firms. Additionally, he was in charge of construction for an 18,000-unit retirement community for Cenville Inc, a nationally ranked firm. He has completed award winning Historic Renovations as well as had projects featured in national magazines. His diverse background adds valuable depth to any team.
