Experience:

Mr. Van Dyke provides substantial project support through plan analysis, quantity surveys, and project records documentation. Prior to Downey & Scott, Mr. Van Dyke worked for an excavation company installing storm water pipes, operating heavy equipment, and checking grades.  He also spent several years superintending all phases of residential home construction from land clearing to final inspection.
 
He has assembled and supervised several construction teams to other countries, twice to Costa Rica and twice to Zambia.  These construction projects included framing, concrete slabs, electrical wiring, plumbing, plumbing groundwork, roofing, and finish carpentry.

His passion for historic renovations has led to a nine year complete renovation for his two-hundred year old log and wood framed home.  

His other areas of expertise include supervision of subcontractors in all phases of construction, estimating materials from blue prints, and maintaining relationships with contractors.  Mr. Van Dyke adds immeasurable depth to Downey & Scott, LLC and is a valued team member.
