Gilmer Aquatics and Fitness Center
Gilmer Aquatics and Fitness Center at the University of Virginia is a 98,500 Square Foot Intramural-Recreational Sports Center. It includes an Olympic sized pool, a variety of state-of-the-art cardiovascular training equiment, including circuit trainers, ellipticals, bikes, treadmills and free weights, a sauna, a "wet classroom" for SCUBA and other aquatic classes, aerobic rooms, fitness assessment and training areas, "TJ's Locker" (a division of the UVA Bookstore) and the "Poolside Café" eatery.
Downey & Scott, LLC has performed the Cost Estimating for the Gilmer Aquatics and Fitness Center from the very beginning. We have worked from the Schematic Design, to Design Development, to Construction Document, to the addition of the Chiller Plant.
